Well, what can we say about 2020 so far? Ask us again in a few years and we might have words! It’s been a total whirlwind so far, and everything is different. It’s been a busy couple of months for us, thinking and planning something very exciting. We really wanted to bring you something this year, so we’ve decided to go virtual!

By this time this year, we’d planned to have hosted two live events and have a third coming up soon. Obviously this hasn’t been possible, and during this period of unprecedented uncertainty, we thought it was important to give you space to process. We’ve kept regular contact and offered support, but we’ve wanted to be sensitive to the grocery industry and wait until our audience is ready for us.

September will mark six months since our world changed, and we think it’s the right time to be there for you, sharing insight and support as you start asking questions about what the future looks like.

So – drumroll please – introducing The Grocery Girls Festival! We’re absolutely delighted to announce that, on Fridays throughout September and October, we’re putting on a series of virtual events.

With talks, panels and workshops, we’ll be bringing you a month of creative, empowering and inspiring bitesize sessions, delivered straight to your screen. You can see the full list on the event page now. We’ve got some amazing guests lined up, so stay tuned as we release more information over coming weeks.

As always, we need to cover costs so we will be charging for these events. Individual sessions are £5 and you can gain access to all eight for just £25! Also, as a gesture to the wider grocery community, we’ll be donating 50% of all ticket sales to Grocery Aid. Of course, it’s essential to us that we make all our activity accessible, so if you’re not in the position to pay for entry at the moment, then email us at hello@grocerygirlsuk.com and we’ll find a solution.

Hopefully see you on the screen!
